THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 12, 1985 – SUNDAY OCTOBER 6, 1985

Return to Future presents independent New York architects Seymour Rutkin and Rolland Ristine's collection of proposals on houses, parks, stadiums, theaters, office buildings, and landscapes. Rutkin’s work originated from a synthesis of organic form with concrete and steel building methods, expressing the physics of compression, tension, and gravity. The exhibition includes drawings, scrapbooks, sketchbooks, and explanatory pamphlets. The title of the exhibition plays with Robert Zemeckis’s movie Back to the Future, released a few months before the show's opening.
